Launching our Autumn Training Series
Interested in hands-on training and support from the I.G. team? Look no further - join our upcoming workshop series where you can explore some of the most challenging topics facing fundraisers today.
We know it is a tricky time for fundraisers. Over and over again our clients and #FixtheFlow Fellowship Cohorts have expressed the need for more tools and resources to support them on their fundraising journeys.
That’s why we are so excited to be launching our first ever multi-part “Autumn Training Series” for newcomers and experienced fundraisers. Based on our Relationship-Based Fundraising Field Guide methodology, we will be conducting eight training sessions on some of the most important - and difficult - topics that fundraisers face. This includes everything from building fundraising strategies to big, extensional topics like understanding donor motivations and identifying your own activist voice. You can attend as many sessions as you’d like (of course, we’d love to see you at all eight!). Topics and times are below:
Fundraising Strategy 101: 10th Oct from 2pm - 3:30pm UK
From Fundraising to Resource Activism: 24th Oct from 4pm - 5:30pm UK
Asset & Network Mapping: 31st Oct from 2pm - 3:30pm UK
Designing Your Donor Offering: 7th Nov from 2pm - 3:30pm UK
(Bonus) Pitching for Op-Eds, Features and More: 9th Nov from 2pm - 3pm UK
Mastering the Messaging: 21st Nov from 2pm - 3:30pm UK
Target Setting & Team Resourcing: 30th Nov from 2pm - 3:30pm UK
Evidencing & Communicating Impact: 5th Dec from 4pm - 5:30pm UK time
Influencing Senior Stakeholders: 14th Dec from 2pm - 3:30pm UK
Each session will be facilitated by members of the I.G. team and you will have a chance to learn alongside peers, workshop ideas live, and explore new concepts to bring back to your teams and organisations.
Our aim is to make these sessions as accessible as possible so more fundraisers have access to our services and expertise. We are offering tiered-pricing to support both big and small nonprofits to join in. If costs remain an issue, please contact us as we have a few scholarships available.
You can sign up to any of the events at the individual links above or click here for the whole Autumn Training Series.
We really hope to see you there!

I for one, am always learning about the essential elements of football that can inspire and inform effective philanthropy.
Through the power of collective design, our fundraiser and grantmaker #FixTheFlow Fellows have imagined the future of our philanthropic funding system, and we should all listen carefully.

Social enterprises have a particularly interesting relationship with Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) as they need to capture both the financial and social/ environmental impact of their work, and speak to a wide range of potential funders and investors. Caitlin McLoughlin chatted to Abhinav Khanal, Co-Founder and Executive Director of Bean Voyage, to explore this further.

Being a parent is often a thankless task. You take something and nurture it, treating it with love and care, losing sleep and worrying if — against all odds — , it will achieve its full potential and become the best it can be. This past year has been unlike any that we’ve ever experienced before. There have been significant changes, opportunities, and challenges in the ways we use technology, interact in communities, and approach giving and philanthropy — all of which have spurred much-needed transformation (and hope!) during a time when nothing seemed possible.
